an interdisciplinary art collective — Brett Amory, Karin Denson, Shane Denson
The non/phenomenal collective explores how the conditions of perception and appearance are rapidly shifting in today’s technologically saturated world. From AI and machine learning to everyday algorithmic systems, new zones of invisibility are being created that fundamentally alter what can and cannot be sensed, seen, or experienced.
We experiment with a wide variety of techniques for renegotiating the border between what appears and what remains hidden. Refusing divisions between theory and practice, art and technology, the collective works across art-making, curation, and philosophical inquiry as overlapping and interdependent activities.
